Teachers & Teaching Assistants

We start ensuring quality with a child’s most important relationship at Explorers Academy – their relationship with their Teacher and Teaching Assistant. Every Teacher and Teaching Assistant must have Early Childhood Education credentials and are qualified to perform all classroom and family-oriented functions.

Community Partners

Billings School District #2 partners with our staff by providing Special Ed Teachers, Aides, and Speech Pathologists. Yellowstone East and West/Carbon County Special Services Co-ops provide services for children with disabilities. A third dedicated partner, The Center for Children and Families, offers mental health services to our students.

Our Teachers are dedicated, inventive educators who use their resources wisely. This starts with a toolbox of teaching strategies called Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum encourages teachers to implement project-based learning. These projects center around questions children ask every day, such as, why is a ball round or why do cars drive on the road. Our Education Staff know that when students are curious about what they are learning, they are more likely to be engaged and active participants in their education. Encouraging the natural imagination of our Explorers Academy students ensures their educational success as they get ready for kindergarten.

At Explorers Academy, we believe that parents are a child’s first and most important teachers.  To help your child succeed in school this year, click here to download the 2020-2021 Parent Handbook for this year’s calendar of events and tips on how to build your child’s school readiness.
